An overlooked source of decadal variability in Western Pacific typhoon and ENSO activities: The 11-year solar cycle
Dr. Jin-Yi Yu is Professor of Earth System Science at the University of California, Irvine, USA. His research work covers a wide range of issues, from global-scale climate changes in the coupled atmosphere-ocean system, baroclinic wave and jet stream dynamics in the atmosphere, to regional-scale variations in the Asian and North American monsoons. In recent years, his research has focused on El Niño complexity and inter-basin interactions among the Pacific, Atlantic, and Indian Oceans.
