Dr. Zhaohui Chen received his Ph.D. (Physical Oceanography) in Ocean University of China in 2012 and National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) for Excellent Young Scholars in 2016. His research interests include the western boundary current dynamics, multi- scale oceanic processes and ocean observations. He is currently working on several projects including: mechanisms for the responses of the Pacific North Equatorial Current bifurcation to global warming; mechanisms for variability of low-latitude western boundary currents; Smart Float; and Observation Systems in Kuroshio Extension regions.
